TLS Theory of Constraints Lean Six Sigma
Foundations Workshop
In this highly interactive workshop, you’ll learn how take your existing continuous improvement efforts and make every project count towards improving the health and competitiveness of your organization. Right away.
What's Happening
The pressure to produce results and move to “world class” status has never been stronger. CI teams must systematically improve areas of the organization that affect competitive or strategic position. In order to accomplish this, the teams must generate bottom line results that far exceed the costs to support the teams’ existence. So the teams get busy attacking waste everywhere and improving process stability and product quality.
However, it seems that wherever you look, there’s resistance to change, frustration, difficulty sustaining the gains, reluctance to fund additional projects, and difficulty connecting the various improvement projects with the organization’s strategy.
At the root, this is the problem. It’s not that the various improvement methods don’t work, they do. It’s just that most CI efforts are not aligned to the strategy of the organization as a whole. The TLS methodology solves this problem and unifies your improvement efforts. You do not have to fight about which method is better; you simply deploy the tool or methodology that best fits the problem being addressed.
Organizations that commit to implementing TLS typically experience:
- Tenfold return on Continuous Improvement projects
- Improvements that benefit the entire organization, not just a single department
- Increased revenue
- More profits
By making strategic changes to your continuous improvement strategy, you’ll create a unified approach where your teams will be working on the right issues using the right tools to get the job done. Your teams will begin to do what they are supposed to do; facilitate focused, lasting improvements that improve the position of the company as a whole.
What You Will Learn
This two-day workshop introduces TLS concepts and tools and when presented internally, provides a forum to assess the organizational readiness for implementation. The emphasis is on developing an understanding of the TLS process and understanding how the methods can work together synergistically.
In the workshop, attendees gain new insight into how to leverage improvement projects for the most return, learn how to identify the situations that fit which tools, how to create a unified continuous improvement approach and the elements required for a successful implementation.
The participants will use a sampling of several tools from each of the three methodologies to ensure a deep understanding of how the TLS strategy operates. Using business case and simulation, we’ll ensure a rewarding and stimulating learning experience.
This workshop will show you how to:
- Improve the effectiveness of your Lean or Six Sigma Implementation
- Get real bottom line improvements from your process improvement activities
- Integrate the various process improvement tools to create lasting results
- Effectively link local improvement activities to global strategies
